The Red Bean Youth Troupe as Dancing Fairies

SYNOPSIS:
The fairy Hung-luen returns the love child to the earthly Prince Chan amongst many dancing fairies. This vignette features the Red Bean Youth Troupe as the dancing fairies.

BACKGROUND:
This recent comedy was written by the talented Mr. Tong Dik-Saang (1917 – 1959) in 1957.  It revolved around two earthly brothers, the handsome Prince Chan and the not-so-handsome Prince Wang, and two fairy sisters, the beautiful Hung-luen and the not-so-beautiful Hung-lin. Hung-luen felt in love with Prince Chan, and produced a love child out of wedlock. As the story went, the ugly sister liked the handsome brother and the ugly brother liked the beautiful sister. Many mishaps occurred, but eventually, the handsome prince married the beautiful fairy and vice versa.
