SYNOPSIS:
This tale is about the outward competitiveness and the inner admiration between a male warrior, Shanggun Wan-lung and a female warrior, Sitou Man-fung.

BACKGROUND:
In one of the Han Dynasty battles, these two quarreled so much that they asked the emperor for a resolution. The emperor made a wise decision; unbeknownst to each other, the emperor adopted the female warrior as his princess and granted the male warrior the title of Lord, and betrothed his princess to the Lord. Not knowing the identity of each other, both gratefully accepted. Unable to rescind, the two married, but still were at constant competition . Another uprising occurred and both warriors were called to defend the empire, whereby, the female warrior assumed the commanding role upon the draw of a straw. After several heroic incidents, the two finally admitted to loving each other and resolved their differences.
