Anne Lam loves the arts since childhood and enjoyed watching Chinese operas with her father, especially operas by famous actors Yum and Pak. During her high school years, she learned ballet at the Christine Liao School of Ballet and had received the certificate from the Ballet Queen of England. She took Chinese folk dancing from Ms Chiu’s top student, Emma Lee, and Director Chui’s wife. In addition, she was a student of T.V.B. chief dancer of modern dance. She had joined Chin & Chiu Opera Group to learn opera singing. She was a student of the Hong Kong Chinese Opera House for a brief period before migrating to U.S.A. She had performed for the Hong Kong Art Festival and the Mong Kok Choir. She had also performed as the chief dancer with the Peninsula Junior Chamber of Commerce for “Mu Kei Ying” operatic dance and Kowloon True Light Middle school for the annual celebration and Christmas show. After she came to the United States, she learned more dancing techniques in San Francisco City College and opera singing methods in San Francisco State University. From the Y.C. Wong Kung Fu Studio, she had learned the Hung Gar-style martial art, and she had performed for the university, community and Lam Family Association. She joined the Red Bean Cantonese Opera House in 2009 and is a student of Master Jing Liang in Chinese opera singing and opera movements. In 2009, she has performed the “12 Beauties Dance” at the Lam Family Association and the Red Bean Cantonese Opera House. Anne Lam works as a Public Relations Manager in a law firm. She has made speeches in the Chinese community, supporting charity events and served as M.C. for the annual San Francisco Chinese Spring Festival. She deeply appreciates the beautiful Chinese opera poetic lyrics, the artists’ elegant makeup and splendid costumes. She would like to promote the charming Chinese opera culture in America!
