Laura Ma’s interest in Cantonese Opera was first kindled at age 8 or 9 after being taken to an operatic performance by her grandmother.   She is one of troupe’s earliest members, having joined in 1996. One of Red Bean Opera’s most formidable talents, she has since been appeared in such classic works as “Celebration at Longevity Palace” and  The Moon Pavilion .  She also performed at Guanzheng, China’s  5^th annual Worldwide Yang-Sing Cantonese Opera.  As Director of Operations, she brings to the troupe her experience and skills as a corporate business analyst responsible for financial close, reporting and consolidation.
