Jamie has enjoyed Cantonese Opera for entertainment since her childhood. She came to the United Statues from Hong Kong when she was 20 years old and had the chance to enjoy Cantonese Opera again when her relatives performed with Red Bean Cantonese Opera House. Her son, Justin, and daughter, Terilyn were recruited by Red Bean for its Ninth Anniversary performance. She and her children also performed in Red Bean’s Tenth and Eleventh Anniversary productions and will appear again in today’s Twelfth Anniversary program. She is currently studying Cantonese Opera singing and movement techniques with Sifu Jing Liang.
